The flowers on the altar this week are in memory of Frank & Maryanne Fitzgerald, donated by Father Fitzgerlad. 


This week’s mission tithe is for Ronald McDonald’s House. They provide hotel-style rooms to families who have a child suffering from cancer and other debilitating illnesses. 


Today’s readings may be found on page 32 of the Let Us Celebrate book and #1133 in the Gather Book.   


Moving forward, the parish office will be closed from 12 to 1pm for lunch Monday through Thursday. 

 

Please note that this Thursday, July 10th, the parish office will be closed from 1:00 to 4:00 PM as our staff takes time to celebrate Father Fitzgerald’s 30th anniversary of his priestly ordination. May we give thanks to God for Father’s faithful service to the Church. 


August 27 through August 31 our Hispanic community will be hosting the “New Evangelization” retreat for families of our parish. The retreat is for those 15 or older and in Spanish. Flyer is included below.


Religious Education registrations start on Monday.

Las flores en el altar esta semana son en memoria de Frank y Maryanne Fitzgerald, donadas por el Padre Fitzgerald. 


El diezmo para la misión de esta semana es para la Casa Ronald McDonald. Ofrecen habitaciones tipo hotel a familias con hijos que padecen cáncer y otras enfermedades debilitantes. 


Las lecturas de hoy se encuentran en la página 33 del libro Celebremos. 


De ahora en adelante, la oficina parroquial estará cerrada de lunes a jueves de las 12 del mediodia a la 1PM para el almuerzo. 


Les informamos que este jueves 10 de julio, la oficina parroquial estará cerrada de la 1pm a las 4pm, ya que nuestro personal celebrará el 30.º aniversario de la ordenación sacerdotal del Padre Fitzgerald. Demos gracias a Dios por su fiel servicio a la Iglesia. 


Se les hace a invitación a todos a nuestro Retiro de Nueva Evangelización. Será del 27 al 31 de agosto. Favor de llamar a la oficina para más información. 


Las inscripciones para el catecismo comienzan el lunes.

El calor a todo y Mano Amiga igual

ES: El domingo 13 de julio en la Cabañita hizo mucho calor, pero los integrantes de Mano Amiga no se rindieron. Seguimos trabajando en el nombre de Cristo para ayudar al hermano necesitado. 🙏🏾 EN: On Sunday, July 13 at La Cabañita, it was a very hot day, but the members of Mano Amiga did not give up. We kept working in the name of Christ to help our brothers and sisters in need. 🙏🏾

Vigilia de Pentecostés: Luz en la Oscuridad

ES: Nuestra Vigilia de Pentecostés fue una noche para recordar—aunque apenas estamos compartiendo estas fotos. Justo cuando comenzábamos a orar y a esperar al Espíritu Santo, se fue la luz… pero las velas siguieron encendidas. A la luz suave de las velas, recordamos la presencia fiel y silenciosa del Espíritu, incluso en medio de la oscuridad. Escuchamos la Palabra, reflexionamos en silencio y oramos como comunidad, confiando en que Dios estaba obrando entre nosotros, como en aquel primer Pentecostés. Sin electricidad, no hubo problema—el fuego de Pentecostés seguía ardiendo. EN: Pentecost Vigil: Light in the Darkness Our Pentecost Vigil was a night to remember—even if we’re just now getting around to posting these photos! Just as we began to pray and wait for the Holy Spirit, the power went out—but the candles kept burning. In the soft glow of candlelight, we were reminded of the Spirit’s quiet and steady presence, even in darkness. We listened to Scripture, reflected in silence, and prayed as a community—trusting that God was at work among us, just as He was on that first Pentecost. No electricity, no problem—the fire of Pentecost was still alive.

Un gesto de solidaridad bajo el sol ardiente

ES: Nuestro grupo Mano Amiga recientemente entregó una donación a la familia Iñiguez, quien atraviesa un momento difícil debido a problemas de salud y escasez alimentaria. Además de la ayuda económica, nuestros voluntarios se unieron como comunidad para apoyarles con trabajos esenciales en el jardín, todo bajo el intenso calor de esta temporada. Este gesto es un recordatorio de que, aun en medio de las dificultades, el amor y la solidaridad florecen con más fuerza. Le invitamos a que, si usted o alguien que conoce necesita apoyo, no dude en acercarse a su parroquia. Estamos aquí para caminar juntos. EN: Our group Mano Amiga recently gave a donation to the Iñiguez family, who are going through a difficult time due to health issues and food insecurity. In addition to the financial assistance, our volunteers came together as a community to help with essential yard work, all under the intense heat of this season. This gesture is a reminder that, even in the midst of hardship, love and solidarity flourish even more strongly. We invite you—if you or someone you know needs support—not to hesitate to reach out to your parish. We are here to walk together.
